This Konnex model is thinner and takes up less space in the horse's mouth, making it ideal for horses with narrower mouths. The shape of the barrel frees up the tongue muscle, allowing greater mobility and relaxation. The pressure is distributed more evenly over the tongue and will put a little more strain on the bars and commissures.
This mouthpiece is particularly suitable for horses that cannot tolerate the pressure exerted on the tongue and react by shaking their head, for example. The Hard Mouthpiece is ideal for horses with a sensitive mouth but which tend to press slightly. The Soft cannon is ideal for sensitive horses that need to rest lightly on the hand. The needles provide excellent lateral support and more direct contact from the hand to the mouth. Ideal for young horses who have difficulty with lateral flexion.
